The Dayton Dutch Lions will get a chance to see how they're coming together so far, six days into preseason, when they face off against Division-I University side Xavier. The game will take place down in Cincinnati at Xavier University's Soccer Complex (pictured below) at 7:30 p.m.. Further, Xavier University will likely not be much in the way of competition as the Musketeers only picked up two wins in a 2-13-1 campaign in 2009. So, the main focus for the Lions will likely be on themselves instead of the scoreline; as Silooy and Hermans will likely focus on teamwork and spacing of the Dutch Lion players in this scrimmage. It should be interesting to see what lineup the Dutch Lions will employ.

I'll be taking videos, as well as match notes, so check back here later tonight to get all the details.

Btw, I'm pretty sure that anyone that wants to come out to watch these scrimmages can do so, except for other PDL teams of course. ;-) The Dayton Dutch Lions will play another scrimmage against the University of Cincinnati the following Tuesday as well, on April 27th.
